SENIOR MARKETING ASSOCIATE (2021-PRESENT); SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR (2020)
On top of my social media responsibilities at simplehuman, I coordinate our weekly marketing emails. I help to provide creative direction for the messaging hierarchy, work closely with our graphic designer and copywriter to review design and copy edits, create and schedule emails on Klaviyo, and analyze campaign performance. I have also helped produce some of the photo and video assets featured on email.
EVERYTABLE
MARKETING Intern (2020)
At Everytable, I worked under the GM of Operations & Subscription to increase customer acquisition and retention of the meal subscription service. During the four-month internship, I wrote and designed weekly emails, and analyzed open, click-through, and conversion rates to devise strategies to improve email marketing campaigns. In addition, I helped strategize and implement a customer journey map by writing copy for a series of welcome emails and creating a standard operating procedure for calling new subscription customers.
To conclude my internship, I directed a documentary film about Everytable and their efforts to combat food insecurity amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
DISCOVERY, INC.
CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS INTERN (2019)
The summer before my senior year of college, I lived in New York City and worked as a Corporate Communications Intern at Discovery, Inc. Throughout the three months, I helped develop and execute various communications strategies with the goal of ensuring consistent messaging and improving employee engagement within the Fortune 500 company. I wrote weekly company newsletters, drafted executive emails, produced photo and video content for corporate social media, and supported the planning of internal events across all US offices. My most memorable campaign was for Shark Week, Discovery Channel’s annual TV programming, where I had the opportunity to design digital signage to promote the internal screening of Capsized: Blood in the Water. Other internal campaigns for which I designed graphics and drafted copy include Employee Spotlights, LGBT Pride Month, Ultimate Workplace Challenge, and more.
GREEN MONDAY
DIGITAL DEVELOPMENT INTERN (2018)
I, alongside the Digital team at Green Monday, launched greencommon.com in summer 2018, an online store for the plant-based food company in Asia. During my two-month internship, I wrote SEO content for the “Food 2.0” brands (Beyond Meat, Omnipork, Gardein, JUST, and Daiya), retouched and designed 2500+ product images, organized all nutrition information in the database, built an interactive map for the Shop Locator, and created numerous Wordpress pages in English and Chinese.
I also helped develop and execute email marketing strategies on ActiveCampaign. Specifically, I proposed templates for a welcome series, automated emails based on purchase, site visits as well as engagement, and scheduled campaigns for ad-hoc events.
